Diamond Honey-Nut Pie
This delicious recipe provides a healthier alternative to an indulgent pie. It'll be a favorite for you and your guests. Enjoy!
⅓ cup Diamond sliced almonds
2 tablespoons melted butter
½ cup applesauce
½ cup honey
½ cup dark brown sugar
1-2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs + 1 egg white
2 tablespoons flour
Dash of salt
¾ cup Diamond walnuts
¾ cup Diamond pecans
Whipped cream (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Line a 9” deep dish pie tin with your favorite pie crust. Pierce the bottom with fork and line with foil and pie weights to keep the crust flat in tin. Bake for 8-9 minutes until the crust starts to brown. Remove from oven.
Spread ⅓ cup Diamond sliced almonds on bottom of crust, pressing lightly into crust.
Combine the following ingredients and mix on med-high for 3-4 minutes.

½ cup applesauce 2 eggs + 1 egg white
½ cup honey 2 tablespoons flour
½ cup dark brown sugar dash of salt
Add ¾ cup Diamond walnuts and ¾ cup Diamond pecans, coarsely chopped, to filling mixture. Pour into pie crust and bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. May be served plain or with whipped cream.
