Customer Service Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Customer Service Administrator is an entry level position in the Customer Service dept.
The Customer Service Administrator will support the Customer Service Coordinators during the harvest season.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and validate all incoming orders by checking the items, pricing to ensure that all orders can be transmitted to the warehouse accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Identify pricing discrepancies and work closely with the Corporate pricing/ Customer Service Coordinators and Sales team to quickly resolve any issues without impacting order shipments.
  • Monitor/ tracking orders for a timely shipments and invoicing (by checking the daily reports, TMS system, etc). This duty includes working closely with the warehouses/ planner/ traffic dept to identify gaps for flawless order execution.
  • Process Manual orders in the JDE system.
  • Process sample orders in JDE and monitoring/ tracking it for a timely delivery.
  • Support Export/ Documentation Administrator by printing certificates, filling the Export documents, create phytosanitary application, generate FedEx labels for mailing the shipping documents.
  • Monitor shipment which incl. tracking vessel movement, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS:

HR Support Services Coordinator – Stockton, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The HR Support Services Coordinator will provide daily administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In this role, the ideal candidate will provide general administrative support to the VP of Human Resources as well as others within the department. Have a working knowledge and understanding of all functions associated with Human Resources.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Engineer – Stockton, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for performance of manufacturing processes. Candidate must have knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical system components for production processing. This position will work in our Stockton, CA plant and report to the Senior Engineering and Maintenance Manager.

Packaging Machine Operator – Stockton, CA

 Diamond Foods, Inc located in Stockton, CA is a $500M branded Food Company and leading domestic and international marketer of culinary and snack nuts. We are currently seeking a Packaging Machine Operator.

 The responsibilities include:

  • Machine Efficiency – Anticipating film and coding ribbon changes to maximize production line efficiency.
  • Line Logs – Fills out paperwork accurately and legibly. Use bar coding equipment as required.
  • Training of new employees.
  • Trouble Shooting – monitor the equipment and correct line issues. Immediately contact supervision or maintenance if persistent problem occurs.
  • Performs other duties related to packaging as assigned. Uses tools for minor adjustment as required.
  • Knows the targets/goals for his/her work center and adjusts equipment to achieve targets.
  • Drives a Lift Truck in a safe and responsible manner. Must have a good to excellent safety record on a lift truck.
  • Packaging Supplies – Check for defects and assure that the proper film, boxes, dividers etc. are used.
  • Input Material – Monitor product for defects and assure product size, bleached/unbleached and dryness are within standards.
  • Finish Product Quality – Constantly monitor finished bags of product for appearance, Day Code and other printing, back and end sealing.
  • Weight Control – Monitor package weights and make adjustments to achieve product giveaway targets.
  • Maintains his/her area in a clean, orderly and organized manner. Keeps the area clean by sweeping, blowing and scrapping equipment, floors and superstructure, to insure sanitation standards are maintained and met.
  • Training will be provided for 4-6 months before the employee is qualified.

The production worker sorts product in multiple departments. Separating bad product that our machines are not capable of detecting.

Deductions Coordination (Accounts Receivable)

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE DEPARTMENT

The Coordinator will join four current employees to complete the AR Team.

The AR Team manages the company’s collections and deduction application and completes all the required transactional work in JDE and Adesso accurately and timely. To achieve this the AR Team works across department lines (sales, customer service, transportation, warehouse, etc) and ensures that it collects, analyses and confirms all the necessary information before JDE/Adesso processing.

In addition, the AR Team must communicate with brokers and customers to complete the full picture in a particular deduction. This is done via phone, virtually or on customer portals.

The current members are long-term employees with significant experience in Diamond’s internal processes and procedures and are passionate and proud about completing the daily task timely and accurately while at the same time collecting in full all the customer’s unauthorized deductions but also ensuring Diamond meets its side of agreements with customers.

THE ROLE

The Coordinator will work primarily on deduction analysis and clearing.

This requires experience in AR processing at a company with a fully integrated ERP (SAP, JDE, Net Suites, Sage, etc) and doing business with grocery retail (Safeway, Costco, Walmart, Marina Market, etc).

It also requires someone that can complete his/her work independently but also enjoys working in a team environment where everyone understands that his/her work affects the work of others and inaccurate or non-timely deduction processing will generate undesired downstream impact and extra work for the organization.

The Coordinator should have the ability to communicate with any stakeholder and raise his/her hand when help is needed and when management or external assistance is necessary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert on your job duties, JDE and on your customers’ behaviors and cadence.
  • Ask for help and training and also offer it to others.
  • Validate, analyze, categorize, code and clear deductions for the customers assigned…timely!
  • Research, document and confirm that proper deals are entered in the trade funds management program (Adesso) and JD Edwards systems. Invalid deductions will require proving to customer that repayment is due and collect accordingly.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and gather and file properly all documentation relevant for processing.
  • Identify root causes of invalid deductions to determine methods to prevent future deduction problems whenever possible.
  • Inter/Intra Departmental support and communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Handle all contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable special projects when necessary.
  • Assist with cash applications and account receivable processing when needed.
  • Provide any reports and information appropriate stakeholders when requested.

BROKERAGE

  • Experience managing and processing brokerage payments is a plus.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • The ability to actively and effectively manage and maintain inter-departmental processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Production Supervisor – Stockton, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW

It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to coordinate raw materials, machinery, and staffing/crewing to provide the highest return of investment to Diamond Foods, Inc., while achieving production department goals as outlined by the Director of Manufacturing and VP of Operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the day-to-day workflow of production employees.
  • Minimize wasted resources (i.e. wasted materials, product, employee time, machine under-utilization)
  • Assist in the forecasting and planning of workload for various areas of the production department.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing provide equitable disciplinary program as specified according to the T & C.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct set-up and adjustments of machines.
  • Maintain production schedules and estimate worker hour-requirements for completion of job assignment, including adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Interpret safety policies/practices to employees, including enforcing safety regulations.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job/work orders.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.  May include suggesting changes in work conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of available resources.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist employees in solving work problems.
  • Initiate and/or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Assist in the training of various key-operating areas of the production facility.

Maintenance Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Diamond Foods is looking for an experienced, energetic Maintenance Manager to join the Operations team in Stockton, California. The Maintenance Manager will be accountable for asset reliability maintenance program management, food safety, environmental sustainability and leading skilled work team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance / Reliability management using CMMS for preventative maintenance, PM and predictive maintenance program, planning, scheduling, parts and work order system management
  • Work with production managers, corporate staff, consultants to continually evaluate, develop, and execute projects that improve safety, reduce costs and improve quality
  • Execute projects to include funding (AFEs), defining scope, conducting cost analysis and  justification, and project management
  • Develop skills of engineering/ maintenance staff and perform annual performance evaluations

  • 3 – 7 years experience in leading and developing a technical team: industrial mechanics, engineering and maintenance supervisors, and or technical team, preferred
  • Has potential to grow into an engineering director level role within 3 – 5 years
  • Has demonstrated ability to implement and sustain manufacturing process improvements and controls, preferred
  • Experience with CMMS systems, and asset reliability management
  • Experience with industrial electrical safety, and fundamental knowledge of industrial controls and electrical systems, and mechanical systems, preferred but not required

  • Ability to work flexible hours / shifts to manage and support 3 shift operation

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • 3 – 7 years in maintenance or engineering, preferred but not required
  • 3+ years experience in an continuous process improvement manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
  • Cross-functional experience (operations, maintenance, materials, procurement, marketing, quality, etc), a plus
  • Knowledge of OEE a plus
  • Green Belt and or Black Belt certification a plus, but not required
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry and food manufacturing experience a plus
  • Has demonstrated ability to implement and maintain manufacturing process improvements and controls, preferred
