Praline-Banana Oatmeal

Makes 3 cups; serves 4



  • 1 cup steel-cut or old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ cup half-and-half
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup Emerald Pecan Pie Pecans or Emerald Apple Cinnamon Glazed Nuts


In a small saucepan combine oats, milk, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook, stirring, for 4 to 6 minutes or until thick and creamy.

Spoon oatmeal into 4 bowls. Pour over half-and-half, top with sliced banana, and sprinkle evenly with glazed nuts.
