Perfect Jar Brownies

- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 2-1/2 cups sugar
- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Diamond of California® pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Layer the ingredients in the jar in a desired design. It helps if you keep the nuts and chocolate chips towards the top so that the flour and sugar doesn’t slowly make it’s way through the container and mix in between the cracks.
Cover your lid with fabric and tie with pretty ribbon or twine!
Printed Directions for Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray and set aside.
Pour ingredients from jar into a large bowl, adding 1/2 cup boiling water. Stir until chocolate chips soften.
Add in vegetable oil, 4 tablespoons melted butter, 2 large eggs, 2 large egg yolks, and 2 teaspoons vanilla, and 3/4 teaspoon salt, stir until fully incorporated.
Spread batter unto prepared pan. Smooth out with the back of a spoon and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
