Decadent Frosted Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Frosting
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup miniature marshmellows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Diamond of California® walnuts

The Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, vegetable oil, Greek yogurt and vanilla. Mix well
  3. Add in dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Pour into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clear. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes before cutting.

Frosting:

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in sugar and milk, and bring to a boil, stirring.
  3. Allow the mixture to boil for one minute, stirring the entire time. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in milk chocolate chips and marshmallows until melted.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Quickly pour over brownies (or spread if it gets too thick).
  7. Top generously with chopped walnuts and serve!
