Chocolate Cream Pie with Walnut Pie Crust

  • 1 Diamond of California® Ready to Use Walnut Pie Crust
  • 1-1/4 cups half & half
  • 1 tsp unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

The Steps

  1. Unfold foil edge of pie crust, remove and set aside pie lid.
  2. Pour half & half in a medium pot. Sprinkle gelatin on top.
  3. Whisk gently to minimize clumps. Allow to soften for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place half & half gelatin mixture on medium heat for about 4 minutes.
  5. While stirring half & half gelatin mixture, add milk chocolate chips. Stir slowly until chocolate is fully melted.
  6. Remove from heat.  Add vanilla extract, stir.
  7. Carefully and slowly, pass mixture through a mesh strainer into Diamond of California Walnut Pie Crust.
  8. Gently move filled crust into chilled refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.
  9. Top with whipped cream and garnish as you desire! Serve and enjoy!
