						Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, soften to room temperature (1 stick is 1/2 cup)
 - 1/4 cup sugar
 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
 - 1 egg
 - 1 tsp vanilla
 - 1 1/4 cup flour
 - 1/2 tsp baking powder
 - 1/4 tsp salt
 - 1 cup Diamond of California® Chopped Walnuts, divided
 - 3 cups chocolate chips, divided
 - 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
 
The Steps
- Pre-heat the oven to 375 and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
 - Sift the flour, salt and baking soda into a bowl, set aside.
 - In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter for 1 minute. Add the sugar and brown sugar and continue to mix on medium-high speed for 3 minutes, until mixture is light and fluffy.
 - Add the egg and then the vanilla, scraping down the sides of the bowl and mixing until fully incorporated between each addition.
 - Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix until just combined.
 - Fold ½ cup of walnuts and 1 ½ cups chocolate chips into the batter.
 - Scoop all of the dough into your prepared pan and use a spatula to spread it in an even layer, bake for 12-14 minutes.
 - Allow the cookie sheet to cool completely after baking.
 - Melt the remaining dark chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent burning. Repeat with the white chocolate.
 - Pour the dark chocolate over the cooled cookie and spread it into an even layer.
 - Pour the white chocolate over the dark and use a toothpick to swirl it.
 - Sprinkle remaining walnuts on top and refrigerate until chocolate is set
 - Cut into pieces before serving.
