At Diamond of California, we’re all about getting into the holiday spirit by baking up some holiday favorites with friends and family.  You really can’t beat the smell of a warm spice cake or a gooey pecan pie straight out of the oven!  Although it doesn’t feel like the holidays until the house is bound in twinkle lights, the banisters are draped in pine and the holiday wreath is hanging on the front door.  In true #MadeForHomemade fashion, we chose to break out our crafting kits and make our own DIY holiday wreath using our favorite holiday staple – In-Shell Walnuts!

With just a few supplies and a hot glue gun, try out this easy and unexpected DIY holiday wreath using our In-Shell Walnuts to bring that holiday magic into your home this season!

Materials Needed:

Step 1: Glue In-Shell Walnuts to foam ring

Glue the Diamond of California In-Shell Walnuts to the foam wreath working slowly to make sure they are secured.  We recommend starting from the inside and work your way to the outside of the ring to make sure the nuts will fit in place.

Step 2: Glue decorative pine cones to foam ring

Glue the decorative pine cones to the foam wreath, filling any empty white space between the In-Shell Walnuts.  Pro Tip:  Spray paint these pine cones gold or silver for some additional sparkle!

Step 3: Add a ribbon to the wreath and hang!

Finally, tie a ribbon of your liking around the top of the wreath.  Make sure the ribbon is sturdy enough to hold the weight of the wreath.  Hang the wreath outside your front door or inside for some instant holiday magic!
