Dark Chocolate Truffle Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Diamond of California Ready to Use Chocolate Nut Pie Crust
  • 1 1/4 cup half & half
  • 1 tsp unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

The Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix half & half and flavored gelatin.  Whisk gently to minimize clumps.  Allow to soften for approximately 5 minutes.
  2. Pour half & half gelatin mixture into a small saucepan.  Warm on medium heat for approximately 2 minutes.  Whisk while adding dark chocolate chips.  Stir slowly until mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove from heat.  Add vanilla, stir to combine.
  4. Carefully and slowly pour into Diamond of California Chocolate Nut Pie Crust.
  5. Gently move filled crust into refrigerator for 4 hours or until set.
  6. Top with whipped cream and garnish as you desire!
