Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Diamond of California¬ģ Slivered Almonds
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

The Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 and grease a 7 inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
  2. Combine the butter, sugar, orange zest and almond extract in a mixing bowl and mix for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the flour and salt, mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in the almonds and cranberries.
  5. Press the dough into the prepared pan in an even layer. Use a fork to poke several holes.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes then cool completely.
  7. Cut into slices before serving.
