Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 2 cups blackberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
  • Topping:
  • 1 can refrigerated prepared biscuits
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Diamond of California® Chopped Pecans

The Steps

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees and lightly butter an oven safe skillet.
  2. Combine all filling ingredients in a bowl, stir to combine. Spread filling in an even layer in the prepared skillet.
  3. To make the topping, cut the prepared biscuit dough into 1 inch pieces and spread on top of the filling.
  4. Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, salt and pecans in a bowl. Use a fork to mix together until crumbly, then sprinkle on top of the biscuit dough.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes until filling is bubbly and topping is cooked through and browned.
