Ingredients
- 1 basic pie crust
 - 1/2 cup Diamond of California Sliced Almonds, divided
 - 1 can Tart Cherries
 - 3 eggs
 - 1/4 cup sugar
 - 3 tablespoons flour
 - 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
 - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
 
The Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350. Roll out the pie crust, and transfer it to a 9-inch pie pan.
 - Sprinkle ¼ cup of sliced almonds on top of the dough in the pie pan, then pour the tart cherries on top.
 - Whisk the eggs, sugar, flour, heavy cream and almond extract to combine. Pour mixture on top of the cherries in the pie pan.
 - Place the pie on a sheet pan, then bake for 30 minutes or until filling is set and starting to brown.
 - Sprinkle remaining sliced almonds on top before serving.
