What are your Valentine’s Day plans? Instead of making a dinner reservation and hitting the town, I’m switching things up this year with a 5-course homemade meal. I picked some of my favorite dishes that are quick and easy to make so I can spend more time relaxing and enjoy date night in!

Start off your feast with a delicious appetizer that doesn’t take long to make. Your Valentine will need something cheesy to snack on while the main dish cooks – this Trio of Crostini should do the trick!

1

Serve a flavorful salad that is light enough to keep you and your date hungry for the rest of the meal! I love this Pomegranate, Pear and Pecan Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing.

2

Time for soup! This Butternut Squash Soup with Maple Spiced Nuts is one of my favorites. It’s creamy, slightly spicy and I can’t get enough of the sweet and spicy maple spiced nuts on top!

3

No one wants to stay in the kitchen cooking on date night, so here’s a main course that looks and tastes amazing, but won’t take you long to make! This Almond Crusted Salmon comes together in just 20 minutes.

4

A make-ahead dessert is key – bake this Walnut Triple Chocolate Cookie Cake ahead of time and pop it in the oven for a minute or two before topping it with vanilla ice cream and digging in!
