Maple Walnut Truffles

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter, soften
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, soften
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Diamond of California® Chopped Walnuts
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

The Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the butter, cream cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, powdered sugar and walnuts. Use a fork to mix until well combined and mixture becomes thick.
  2. Roll the mixture into 24 even sized balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Melt the chocolate over a double boiler.
  4. Use a fork to dip the walnut mixture balls into the chocolate, one at time. Transfer back to parchment paper and sprinkle with additional chopped walnuts if desired. Return to refrigerator to harden before serving.
