Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups Diamond of California Chopped Walnuts
  • White frosting for decorating
  • Pretzels for dipping

The Steps

  1. Combine the cream cheese and butter in a mixing bowl. Mix on high until combined. Add the sugar and mix again until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the salt and vanilla extract, mix to combine.
  3. Add the chocolate chip and mix until just incorporated.
  4. Refrigerate the bowl for 30 minutes, then transfer the mixture to a large plate. With slightly damp hands, shape the mixture into a football in the center of the plate.
  5. Pour walnuts over top and gently press them into the cookie dough mixture to cover completely.
  6. Use white frosting to pipe the football stitching on top of the walnuts.
  7. Serve with pretzels, fruit or graham crackers.
