  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Diamond of California PistachiosĀ®, toasted

The Steps

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8 by 8 baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter in a heavy bottom sauce pot over medium heat. When butter is melted, stir and continue cooking into brown flakes appear in the butter. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, Whisk together the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla, whisk to combine. Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir until just combined. Stir in the pistachios.
  4. Press the dough into the prepared baking dish. Bake for about 25 minutes until center is cooked through.
  5. Allow blondies to cool completely before serving.
